    I’ve not read the book, but I’m not so sure Dorothy Day would appreciate her photo being used in this video. She was an anarchist. She didn’t advocate participation in electoral politics, but in direct action.

    Furthermore, when Jim says the world is not secure and could “do us in,” who is the us? American empire?

    As far as whether or not Dorothy Day would like or dislike her photo being in this video, I really don’t know. I think that her advocating direct action, as you say, is one of the reasons the maker of this video put her picture in there.

    And to further comment on things I’m not fully qualified to say, (We didn’t make this video, just thought it lined up with the stuff we’re doing), when Jim says, “do us in” I think he’s talking both about us as Americans, and us as humans in general, which we know isn’t limited to those living in the States.
