Hanging out at the Envision 08′ conference.  Seems there’s a lil’ bit of controversy, but still seems a mighty good group of people talking the good talk.  Here’s a clip of Shane from a few hours ago that I thought you might enjoy.

   Any gathering of people is going to have some way cool elements – the concern is when the leadership has a definite partisan bent especially if they aren’t upfront re: their intentions. New Press is promoting a line of left-leaning books designed as a “political intervention” that sends a message about forming a Spiritual Left that’s scary as all get out. The person heading up this particular line of books runs the organization out in California that put on Envision. Therein lies the problem. The emperor may be more a more benevolent dictator but it’s still empire. We serve a different king and our work should strive to reflect that.
